CALL for Proposal for papers 

The Italian Society of Endocrine Surgery (SIUEC) is proud to launch the first edition of “proposal for papers”.
These are original abstracts (i.e. previously unpublished data) reserved to junior authors (<=35 years) who must also be the first author in the abstract and the first author and the corresponding author in an original article to be submitted to Updates in Surgery.

The aim of this initiative is to promote research to be presented in a main meeting session and possibly published in Updates in Surgery.

Successful abstracts will be, therefore, presented in a dedicated sessions on November 14-16, 2024 during the 6th Congress of the Italian Society of Endocrine Surgery in Cagliari.
After the congress, the presenters are expected to write a manuscript according to journal’s instructions
(https://www.springer.com/journal/13304/submission-guidelines). 

After the congress, deadline for submission of full-text manuscripts is January 31st 2025.
Please note that acceptance of an abstract for “proposal for papers” does not imply a commitment to publish a full text article in Updates in Surgery.
All manuscripts have to undergo peer review. However, the Editors strongly encourage young surgeons to join call for “proposal for papers 2024” and ensure their advice to make each selected abstract a successful manuscript in Updates in Surgery.
Accepted manuscripts will be published online as soon as accepted and will be cumulated in a special issue that will be delivered during the 2025 National Congress of the Surgical Societies in Rome.
